Another possibility, FWIW. (reply)

No idea if this helps, but I sometimes get blocked from accessing sites related to firearms. Never happened in town where I have a fiber account, only randomly at my rural shop where I use Starlink. Hmm. Discovered my Starlink service sometimes routes my traffic through weird locations (presumably due to volume). Turns out if you try to access an American website with firearms content but your bonifides say you are from the Netherlands you are blocked. Turned on my VPN and everything popped up fine.

On a related note - don't forget to turn your VPN off before logging into the ATF eForms site. A polite gentleman called me immediately and the gist of the conversation was 'don't do that again'. They apparently don't have an issue with random Starlink routing but know instantly when a VPN is active.

Try this... (reply)

use the https:// prefix, that MAY work - or not. Otherwise, maybe they don't want an Amazon device accessing their server.

https://www.basspro.com/home

I just tried the above suggestion then copied the URL from the browser. It went right in.

LG's working as fast as it ever has..... (reply)

I don't believe I've ever visited the Bass Pro website, although I've been to the original store many times over the decades. Took a look, seems to be running OK. I wonder what hit them.

at 0640 c.s.t. but I did not try to login.....

Still no bass pro shops. It looks like it is about to load but then the access denied message is given. Like I said before, the customer service lady said the website was working but she is/was on the Capitol One c.c. side of the equation & not actually b.p./cabela's help. Something was amiss as she said her system was temporarily down with the caveat that there was access to bass pro through the cabela's site which was working. I verified this but some bass pro page links gave denied message through cabela's.

Website access denied msgs..... (reply)

I've been chatting a bit with Andy. He's working at getting the bots under control. I was just poking around in the backend myself, looking for what may help get it back under control. AI attacks by bots can overwhelm a system. I set a switch or two to see if we can slow 'em down a bit. I've not been able to log in for a couple days, right now it's the smoothest I've seen in in a spell.

Website access denied msgs.....

"Your server denies access to this url"

I get these results quite often. Most recently it has been bass pro. A toll-free call to them and the kind "rep." says there is no problem but she also says her system is down right then and she cannot help with an order. The various website validity checking sites also show "access denied" type messaging.

Then there is the leverguns community site which seldom works but actually seems to be accessible right now though it is slow and I haven't been able to login.

Your thoughts ?
